the scoop on the free compost
We here at New Earth Farm are resource people. Sometimes we accept a few too many resources💚. These piles are either compost from a local hauling company that needed it moved or broken down wood chips that look like compost from an old playground. We had plans for it but now it’s just too much and we need to get it moved as we build our compost yard. The material looks lovely and we make no claims about it. You may find some occasional pieces of playground equipment in some of it. It is not compost we made.
Please-please be respectful and do not:
DO NOT take any whole bricks from the site (you can take broken bricks!)
DO NOT drive on the site except right next to the piles (you may get a flat if you drive on site, folks have illegally dumped a lot of debris on part of these lots)
DO NOT take from piles with logs in front of them (they are there for the boundary and have dirty fill under them—again from illegal dumping :( )

We plan to have our little compost yard in full operation and be selling high quality small batch compost! In the meantime check out our food waste pickup and drop off services where we do the composting for you. Pickup service includes compost at your door 2x year!
